The Proper Way Of Sealing Grout- How To Seal Grout

Before you start sealing grout, you need to make sure that you have the right tools. Not having the right tools to do the job can make it take longer and may even make it necessary to do it all over again. The first two tools you'll need will be a scrubbing brush and a damp mop. What you want to do is you want to prepare the grout lines by scrubbing them with a coarse, non-metallic scrub brush. This will help to loosen any uneven abnormalities. Then, you're going to want to take the damp cloth and just go over the line to make sure that all of the loose stuff is taken out. You want to make sure you have a clean surface for sealing grout.

The next step is to have a grout sealer and a bottle roller. If you don't know much about how to seal grout, there are essentially two different ways to do it. The first way that you can do it is by using a spray bottle and spray grout lines with a sealant. This is only recommended if you have very small tiles and it would take you way too long to cover all over grout lines. The reason why I don't recommend it is because it can often make your tile slippery. Slippery tile can be dangerous and can actually be harder to clean.

For grout lines that are more than 1/8 of an inch thick, always check that you apply the grout sealer to them by hand. You can use either a brush, which takes a lot of time, or you can do it with a roller applicator. The reason why a roller applicator is faster is because it works the same way that a rolling paintbrush does. The grout sealer goes into the bottle and then the bottle drips across the roller as you are using it. This basically gives you an unlimited tile grout sealer, and it allows you to seal your grout in a matter of a few minutes rather than a few hours.
